How Does AnchorCert Protect Work?

A Singular Solution.

The AnchorCert Protect test method screens an item and can then determine which elements are most likely to cause a skin allergy and at what concentration within an article.

The manufacturing process can then be managed to ensure that the finished article is highly unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. This means that AnchorCert Protect compliant products are unlikely to trigger a reaction whether the individual has or has not already been sensitised to a metal allergen.

There is no other known method that has this distinction.

Compliance with the AnchorCert Protect testing methodology also provides compliance for articles in respect of the EU Nickel, Lead and Cadmium, RoHS REACH and GSPD directives as follows:

Nickel Release: EN1811:2011 + A1:2015 [entry 27 of Annexe XVII (REACH)]

  • GPSD: General Product Safety Regulation 2005 from a skin allergy point of view.

  • Lead Content: Entry 63 of annex 17 of REACH Directive (1907/2006).

  • Cadmium Content: Entry 23 of annex 17 of REACH Directive (1907/2006).

  • RoHS: RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC

This is all available in a SINGLE test meaning that no additional testing is required.
